DEErivatives - introduction

DEErivatives are loco designs based around the G1MRA DEE loco design – using this as a basis provides simple to build locos with a proven mechanism.

The DEE book (use the links button to see the G1MRA website) will be needed to build a loco either from scratch, or using parts or full kits available from Orion Models.

A book will be available (see price list) for each loco, detailing the differences from DEE and the drawings and techniques used to build the loco – there is one exception: DEE itself where notes are available (rather than a book) detailing the differences from the original design.

Locos are also available in ready-to-run form, with full instructions plus boiler and gas tank certificates.

All of these models (unlike the GWR 4-4-0s) are built to a scale of 10mm:1’ for Gauge 1.
Some will also be available for Gauge 3.
